The description of the implementation concerns the contract ‘Continuation of the design and construction of the S7 expressway from the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship border to Krakow, section: Moczydło (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship border) – Miechów junction (with the junction)’. This section is located in the Świętokrzyskie and Lesser Poland Voivodeships, in the Jędrzejów and Miechów counties, on the territories of the Wodzisław, Książ Wielki, and Miechów communes. It is a part of the S7 expressway Warsaw – Rabka – Chyżne – Slovakia and an element of the TEN-T comprehensive network.
The new section of the S7 expressway, starting in Moczydło and ending at the junction in Miechów, was opened on September 5, 2023. The investor of the project was GDDKiA (General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways) Branch in Krakow, the contractor was INTERCOR Sp. z o.o., the contract engineer was ECM GROUP Polska S.A., and the designer was Autostrada II Sp. z o.o. The implementation is listed in the Large Projects List, which is Annex 12.2 to the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2014-20. The total contract value amounts to 755,272,186.45 PLN. The task was co-financed by funds from the European Union, and the co-financing agreement was signed on December 16, 2022.
