This investment is of particular interest for Zduńska Wola and close surroundings citizens, but also for the whole Łódź voivodeship says Grzegorz Schreiber, marshal of Łódź voivodeship. We support building of this terminal so the potential of Karsznice is not wasted. This investment will have good impact on the future of the town and the county. We intend to develop the transport in our region, both passenger and goods.

Terminal in Zduńska Wola Karsznice will make our offer of PKP Cargo and other rail transport companies more attractive. It is because this investment will be joining our Baltic Ports in Gdańsk, Gdynia, Świnoujście with ports in Adriatic basin. Terminal will also improve the quality of railway logistic service because in central Poland there is no such modern object. Due to building this terminal we shall observe the growth of interest in multimodal transport in Polish and foreign companies. – said Hanna Jażdżyk, president of PKP Cargo Terminale.

At the area of 22 hectares owned by PKP two gantry cranes will be installed, nine railroad tracks, transshipment yard and storage area plus accompanying infrastructure including roads and parking places. According to the contract the terminal shall be accepted to use by the end of October 2023.

The advantage of the localization in Karsznice is location close to important for the whole Europe railway No. 131 and in the close neighborhood of express road S8, what ensures good communication in all directions through motorways and express roads: nodes A1/A2, A1/S14, S8/S14 and S8/A2.

The terminal will allow complex logistic service on the New Silk Trail between China and Europe and also from Baltic Ports to the south of Poland and the whole Central European region.
