On November 28, 2014, in Warsaw, an agreement was signed between the State Treasury – General Director of National Roads and Motorways, represented by Tomasz Kwieciński – Deputy Director, and Joanna Engel – Deputy Director acting on behalf of the General Director of National Roads and Motorways, and a consortium of companies operating together, including ECMG GmbH – a subsidiary of ECM Group Polska S.A. and SGS Polska Sp. z o.o. The agreement pertained to “Contract Management – Design and construction of the S8 expressway from the ‘Marki’ interchange (excluding the interchange) to the ‘Radzymin Płd.’ interchange.”
The Marki Bypass, which is the section of the S8 expressway from the Marki interchange to the Radzymin Południe interchange, will have a length of approximately 15.4 km.
The construction cost for this project is approximately 737.5 million PLN.
The investment has been divided into two sections:
Task 1:
Contract Management for the “Design and construction of the S8 expressway from the ‘Marki’ interchange (excluding the interchange) to the ‘Radzymin Płd.’ interchange”: Task I – Design and construction of the S8 expressway on section I from the ‘Marki’ interchange (excluding the interchange) to the ‘Kobyłka’ interchange, Task II – Design and construction of the S8 expressway on section II from the ‘Kobyłka’ interchange (excluding the interchange) to the ‘Radzymin Płd.’ interchange – approximately 8.128 km in length.
Task 2:
Investor supervision in accordance with the Construction Law over the “Design and construction of the S8 expressway from the ‘Marki’ interchange (excluding the interchange) to the ‘Radzymin Płd.’ interchange”: Task I – Design and construction of the S8 expressway on section I from the ‘Marki’ interchange (excluding the interchange) to the ‘Kobyłka’ interchange, Task II – Design and construction of the S8 expressway on section II from the ‘Kobyłka’ interchange (excluding the interchange) to the ‘Radzymin Płd.’ interchange – approximately 7.24 km in length.
